What this website collects
Short version: we count how the pages on this site get read so we know which questions are worth answering, and when you contact us we pass along what you were reading so we can pick up where you left off. We don't sell anything to anyone, run advertising, or follow you around other websites.
When you browse the site
Your browser is given a random identifier and stores it in a cookie named tps_vid. It's a random number that means nothing to anyone but this website, and it isn't your name. Alongside it, your browser keeps a list of which pages on this site you've opened, how long each was on screen, and how you first arrived here — a search engine, a link somewhere, an AI assistant, or typing the address in.
That list lives on your own device, in your own browser. Clearing your browsing data for this site erases all of it.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages get read and how far people get through them. It sets its own cookies and Google processes that data on their systems under their terms. We do not enable advertising features, and we do not send Google anything you type into a form.
When you send us a message
The contact form asks for your name, phone number, and what's going on. Your business name and email address are optional. It's sent through QuickIntake, the same service that runs the chat assistant described below, and someone follows up on it.
The list of pages you read is sent with it. If you spent time on the pricing page and then a page about backups, we'll see that, and it saves you explaining it. If you'd rather we didn't, clear this site's data in your browser before you write to us, or call instead.
The chat assistant
The chat window in the corner is run for us by QuickIntake. What you type into it is processed by that service to answer you and to pass the request on to us. Don't put account numbers, passwords, or patient or client information into it, or into the contact form. If we need something like that, we'll arrange a proper way to send it.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard web server records of requests — the page asked for, the time, the browser, and the network address it came from. Those records exist for every website you visit and are used to keep the site up and to see which automated systems are reading it.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent anything about you. We don't run advertising or advertising trackers. We don't track you across other websites. We don't build a profile of you beyond the pages you read here, and we don't use any of it to set your price.
How to opt out
- Clear this site's cookies and stored data in your browser. That removes the identifier and the reading list, and nothing is sent with a message after that.
- Block cookies for this site, or browse in a private window. The site works normally either way.
- Install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, which stops Google Analytics on every site, not just this one.
